Kim Soo-hyun's Agency Threatens Legal Action Over False Relationship Claims with Late Kim Sae-ron

The agency representing actor Kim Soo-hyun, Gold Medalist, announced on March 10 that they are considering legal action against the YouTube channel 가로세로연구소 (Gaseyeon) for spreading false information regarding a supposed relationship between Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron.

In a broadcast titled '[Exclusive] Kim Soo-hyun Led to Kim Sae-ron's Death (Dating Since Kim Sae-ron Was 15 for 6 Years)', Gaseyeon claimed that Kim Sae-ron had been in a romantic relationship with Kim Soo-hyun since 2015, when she was just 15 years old, and he was 27. The channel also reported that the agency's response to Kim Sae-ron's DUI incident in 2022 was inadequate, citing comments from her family. Additionally, they alleged a connection between a YouTuber known for criticizing Kim Sae-ron and the agency's manager.

Gold Medalist firmly denied these claims, stating, "Gaseyeon has made numerous malicious assertions suggesting that we and Kim Soo-hyun colluded with YouTuber A to harass Kim Sae-ron, which are completely unfounded and unacceptable. We are preparing to take the strongest legal action possible against Gaseyeon."

The agency expressed their sorrow over the passing of Kim Sae-ron, who was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16. They emphasized that the dissemination of such falsehoods mirrors the harmful behavior of 'cyber bullies' that Kim Sae-ron faced during her life, damaging both her reputation and that of the agency. They urged the public to refrain from spreading or amplifying these baseless rumors any further.

Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron were both previously affiliated with Gold Medalist and had faced dating rumors in March of the previous year, which Kim Soo-hyun's agency also denied at that time.
