His agency, Goldmedalist, announced on March 13, 2025, that they will clarify the facts and respond to unfounded rumors with clear evidence next week. They expressed regret for any prolonged discomfort caused and requested understanding to prevent further reporting on the matter.

While the specifics of how Kim Soo-hyun will present his stance remain undisclosed, industry speculation suggests that given the seriousness of the situation, he may choose to speak directly.

Since March 10, Kim Sae-ron's family has claimed on the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' (가로세로연구소) that she was in a romantic relationship with Kim Soo-hyun since she was 15 years old in 2016. Initially, Kim Soo-hyun's team quickly denied these claims, labeling them as false. However, 'Garo Sero' has since released follow-up videos featuring handwritten letters and intimate photos allegedly sent by Kim Soo-hyun to Kim Sae-ron during his military service. They also claimed that Goldmedalist demanded compensation from Kim Sae-ron following her DUI incident.

On March 12, Goldmedalist reiterated that their previous official statement remains unchanged. On March 10, they had stated, "The claims made by Garo Sero regarding Kim Soo-hyun are blatant falsehoods. We are considering the strongest legal response possible. We are mourning the loss of Kim Sae-ron, who once worked with us, but the dissemination of such false information mirrors the cyber harassment she faced during her life. We earnestly request that these baseless rumors cease to spread or be amplified further."
