Kim Soo-hyun Faces Potential Lawsuit in Taiwan Over Allegations

Actor Kim Soo-hyun is reportedly facing a lawsuit in Taiwan amounting to approximately 6 billion won (around 12.7 million New Taiwan dollars) following allegations regarding his relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor at the time. According to Taiwanese media outlet Sanli News, all of Kim's advertising contracts in Taiwan have been suspended since the allegations surfaced, prompting three advertisers to seek damages from him.
Notably, 7-Eleven Taiwan, which had collaborated with Kim, has suffered significant losses exceeding 100 million New Taiwan dollars (about 46 billion won) and is planning to file a lawsuit against him for damages.
Initially, Kim was invited to Taiwan by 7-Eleven to participate in events during the Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival in March, including a finale performance and a solo fan meeting. However, he canceled the event just five days prior. Additionally, various products, including food items and photo cards associated with Kim, were set to be released but have since been shelved.
Back in South Korea, Kim is also at risk of being sued by advertisers. Reports indicate that companies A and B, which had contracts with him, are pursuing legal action against both Kim and his agency, Gold Medalist, for the return of model fees and damages, totaling around 3 billion won. Other companies, including company C, are reportedly considering similar legal actions.
Following the death of Kim Sae-ron, Kim Soo-hyun has been accused of having a relationship with her during her minor years and allegedly pressuring her for debt repayment. In response, he has strongly denied these claims and held a press conference to clarify the allegations, while also filing a lawsuit for approximately 12 billion won against the family and a YouTube channel involved in spreading the rumors.
