Kim Soo-hyun Denies Dating Rumors with Late Kim Sae-ron

Actor Kim Soo-hyun's agency has firmly denied allegations suggesting he was in a relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor, labeling the claims as "groundless rumors." On March 13, Goldmedalist, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, issued an official statement asserting that they will clarify the facts and respond to these unfounded rumors with clear evidence next week. They expressed regret for any distress caused by the ongoing situation and requested understanding as they seek to halt further reporting on the matter.

The controversy began on March 10 when the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' cited an interview with Kim Sae-ron's aunt, claiming that Kim Sae-ron had been in a romantic relationship with Kim Soo-hyun since 2016, when she was a minor. At that time, Kim Sae-ron, born in 2000, was 16 years old, while Kim Soo-hyun, born in 1988, was 28.

Following the broadcast, Kim Soo-hyun's agency strongly refuted the claims, stating that they are considering the most severe legal actions against the dissemination of false information. They emphasized that such rumors mirror the distressing behavior of "cyber bullies" that the late Kim Sae-ron had faced during her life, damaging both her reputation and that of Kim Soo-hyun.

Despite the agency's legal stance, the situation escalated as the YouTube channel released affectionate photos of Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun together, along with handwritten letters from Kim Soo-hyun to the late actress. One letter, believed to have been written during Kim Soo-hyun's military service in 2018, included affectionate nicknames like "Kim Il-byeong from afar" and "Sae-ro-ne." A postcard from Paris in 2019 reportedly contained messages such as "I miss you" and "I love you."

Tragically, Kim Sae-ron was found deceased at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16 of this year.
