Kim Si-won Returns to YouTube with Boyfriend After Retirement

Kim Si-won, who previously retired from her BJ activities, has announced her return to YouTube. On November 17, she released a video titled 'Why We Do This Together' on her channel '김시원'. In the video, she shared the story behind her decision to co-manage the channel with her boyfriend of 20 years and expressed her determination for this new challenge.

In the video, Kim Si-won revealed, "I tend to be quite timid and often procrastinate even when I have things I want to do. Although I hesitated due to fear, I had a friend who encouraged me to take this step." She emphasized that the channel aims to convey a message of courage beyond mere entertainment, stating, "For me, everything I do here is an act of bravery."

Kim Si-won was previously a member of the girl group GLAM, but she faced controversy in 2014 due to her involvement in a fraud case. Following legal battles and the disbandment of her group, she stepped away from the entertainment industry. In 2018, she made a successful comeback as a BJ on AfreecaTV, gaining significant recognition and winning the AfreecaTV BJ Awards for two consecutive years, amassing approximately 2.4 billion KRW in star balloon revenue.

Earlier this year, Kim Si-won announced her retirement from BJ activities through a handwritten letter to her fans, concluding her previous endeavors with the message, "Thank you all."
