Kim Nam-gil Shines Again as 'Ending Fairy' with 'Hell Preview' and Promises a Refreshing Comeback in 'Hot Blooded Priest 2' Ratings

Kim Nam-gil has once again showcased his prowess as the 'Ending Fairy' in the latest episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama, Hot Blooded Priest 2 (열혈사제2). The sixth episode, which aired on November 23, achieved impressive ratings, peaking at 15.2% nationwide and averaging 12.8% across the country, marking a new high for the series. In the key demographic of viewers aged 2049, it secured a 3.8% rating, making it the top program across all channels on Saturday.

In this episode, Kim Hae-il (김남길) senses the presence of hidden demons in the world and prepares for battle once again. He, along with Gu Dae-young (김성균) and Gu Ja-young (김형서), tracks down a drug packaging warehouse while pursuing Yeolbingo (오희준). Although they fail to uncover the name of the true boss behind the operation, they celebrate after successfully apprehending the drug couriers and seizing the drugs. However, their victory is short-lived. After hiding the seized drugs, Kim Hae-il is called to the police station due to a disturbance involving Grandma Song (변중희). He is horrified to find her lifeless body at her home.

Chae Do-woo (서범준), who rushes to Grandma Song's house, is devastated, while Kim Hae-il grows suspicious of the police's handling of the case. He notes the strange smell of gasoline on her body and the presence of something under her nails, questioning whether an autopsy for poisoning should be conducted. However, the detectives remain unyielding, further fueling his anger.

Recalling Chae Do-woo's concerns about Grandma Song's workplace, Kim Hae-il secretly investigates the business address listed on the registration. Just as the Seoul Police's Drug Special Team arrives, they only find cheap pharmaceutical ingredients, leading to their withdrawal. Meanwhile, Nam Du-heon (서현우) discovers that the person he was tracking, who was planning to raid a drug factory, is Chief Park (정기섭), and he learns about a scent that can incapacitate drug detection dogs, which surprises him.

As Kim Hae-il and his team prepare to infiltrate the drug cartel, they devise an 'undercover plan' after Gu Ja-young identifies a peculiar substance found on Grandma Song's body. Kim Hae-il expresses his outrage over the police's decision to cremate her body without allowing her son to claim it. He delivers a poignant message to Chae Do-woo, stating, "Demons are not as black as they appear in pictures. They don't realize they are demons and thus do not repent. We will have to fight such demons from now on."

While contemplating how to enter the drug cartel, Kim Hae-il spots a wanted poster featuring someone who looks just like Gu Dae-young, signaling the start of their undercover operation. He notes details from the poster, including one suspect being from Southeast Asia and weighing 110 kg, leading to the involvement of Gu Dae-young, Gu Ja-young, Song Sak (안창환), and Oh Yo-hwan (고규필). After returning to the church, Kim Hae-il fervently prays, "Please set my path straight before me," but is suddenly afflicted by tinnitus, causing him distress. He manages to take medication but collapses.

At the same time, Chief Park, who had fallen asleep in the backseat of a car, is dealt with by Kim Hong-sik's (김홍식) subordinate. Hearing commotion outside, Kim Hae-il awakens to the sound of "Fire!" and sees the statue of the Virgin Mary at the seminary engulfed in flames. Kim Hong-sik, watching from his penthouse, ominously remarks, "This is a taste of hell, Father," as Kim Hae-il steps outside, shocked by the burning statue, leaving viewers eager for the next episode.
