Kim Na-jung Deletes Social Media After Drug Confession

Kim Na-jung (김나정), an announcer embroiled in drug-related allegations, has unexpectedly deleted her social media accounts. As of November 25, 2024, her accounts are no longer accessible, suggesting she has either deactivated or deleted them entirely.

Recently, Kim shocked her followers by revealing on social media that she was facing life-threatening situations in Manila, Philippines. She stated, "I feel my life is in danger in Manila. I want to go back to Korea. I feel like I will die if I get on a plane or if I leave Manila. Please help me." She also confessed to using drugs, saying, "To avoid being implicated in drug trafficking, I discarded all my luggage and came back. I admit to using drugs in the Philippines."

Upon her return to Korea, the Incheon International Airport Police conducted a rapid drug test, which returned a positive result for methamphetamine. The case has since been transferred to the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police, who have filed charges against her without detention.

Following these events, Kim Na-jung released a statement through her legal representative, detailing the circumstances surrounding her trip. According to her lawyer, Kim traveled to the Philippines for promotional activities related to beauty products and to launch her own lingerie brand. During her stay, she was introduced to a young businessman, referred to as A, born in 1995, who allegedly restrained her and forced her to inhale substances during a drinking session.

Her legal representative emphasized that Kim was in a state of incapacitation, stating, "A is a fugitive wanted for multiple crimes and cannot return to Korea. Kim's drug use occurred only this once and was forced upon her. Contrary to public speculation, she has never used drugs multiple times."
