Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo Expecting Their First Child After 10 Years Together

Actress Kim Min-hee (김민희) and director Hong Sang-soo (홍상수) are reportedly set to become parents, marking a significant milestone in their relationship that began a decade ago. Despite ongoing scrutiny regarding their affair, the couple is anticipated to attend the Berlin International Film Festival together once again.

On January 17, a representative from Finecut, the distributor handling Hong Sang-soo's latest film, stated to OSEN, "We cannot confirm whether Hong Sang-soo's work will be invited to the Berlin International Film Festival at this time, as no announcements have been made yet regarding submissions."

The representative added, "The list of invited films will be announced on January 21 in the morning local time. We will provide more information then, and if invited, we plan to distribute materials related to the film."

Coincidentally, rumors about Kim Min-hee's pregnancy surfaced on the same day. The new film is particularly noteworthy as it marks the 16th collaboration between Kim and Hong. Given Hong Sang-soo's history of receiving warm receptions at the Berlin festival, it is likely that an invitation could be forthcoming, raising interest in whether the couple will be seen together at the event.

Hong Sang-soo first attended the Berlin International Film Festival in 2008 with his film "Night and Day".
