Kim Jun-ho Proposes to Kim Ji-min on 'My Little Old Boy'

In the latest episode of SBS's variety show My Little Old Boy (미운 우리 새끼), aired on December 22, 2024, Kim Jun-ho received a heartfelt acceptance for his proposal from Kim Ji-min. The episode featured a special appearance by Kim Ji-min's mother, who joined the studio as part of the 'Special Mother Avengers' segment, adding to the emotional atmosphere as Kim Jun-ho prepared for his proposal.

During the show, Seojang-hoon asked Kim Ji-min's mother if she had any concerns about her future son-in-law. She expressed her worries about Kim Jun-ho's health, particularly his smoking habit, stating, "I hope he quits smoking for his health, especially since he is getting older and needs to manage his stamina better. He tends to be easily influenced and is considering starting a business." This light-hearted moment brought laughter to the studio.

The reason for Kim Ji-min's mother's special appearance was revealed: Kim Jun-ho was preparing to propose to her daughter. Six months prior to the proposal, the couple underwent a health check-up together at a hospital. Kim Jun-ho shared, "I was nervous, but I heard it's common for couples to get health check-ups before marriage." Kim Ji-min added her concerns about his smoking affecting his lungs and the potential health risks of visceral fat.

The health results showed that Kim Jun-ho was overweight, had fatty liver disease, and elevated triglycerides and cholesterol levels. His sperm count was also alarmingly low at 2.7, placing him at the bottom among the show's cast members. Kim Ji-min reminded him, "Do you remember that the condition for marriage was to quit smoking? If you don't, I will have to reconsider, as it affects me too," she stated firmly.

While Kim Ji-min went for an endoscopy, Kim Jun-ho met with Lee Sang-min to finalize his proposal plans. When asked if he was serious about getting married, Kim Jun-ho replied, "I will go ahead first," to which Lee Sang-min jokingly responded, "Just go and don’t come back!" Kim Jun-ho humorously retorted, "Cancel that!"

Kim Jun-ho planned to lead Kim Ji-min from the basement to the rooftop, where he had prepared a heartfelt letter to read to her. After rehearsing, they anxiously awaited her arrival. When Kim Ji-min finally appeared, she was met with Kim Jun-ho's emotional proposal.

He expressed, "Honestly, I thought I would never find love again until I met you. When I was sick, you were by my side, and I realized you are my last love." He then dramatically broke a cigarette and smashed a bottle of alcohol, promising, "I will really quit smoking this time." Kim Ji-min, surprised, urged him to keep his promise.

The proposal culminated with the phrase, "Be my last love," as Kim Ji-min was taken aback by the beautifully arranged proposal setup on the rooftop. A video showcasing their journey together played, moving Kim Ji-min to tears, which also touched her mother.

Meanwhile, Kim Jun-ho, watching from outside, was overwhelmed with emotion, turning the studio into a sea of tears. As the video concluded, he entered singing and knelt down, saying, "Thank you for loving me, even with my shortcomings. Let’s not get sick and love each other for a long time. Will you marry me?" He presented her with a ring.

Kim Ji-min joyfully accepted, saying, "Put it on me," warming the hearts of everyone present. Kim Ji-min's mother then left a video message for her future son-in-law, saying, "If you get married, you need to think about having kids, so please take care of your health. Other than that, I just hope you manage your health well."
