Kim Jong-min Struggles to Contact Girlfriend Before Phone Confiscation on 1 Night 2 Days

In the latest episode of KBS2's variety show 1 Night 2 Days (1박 2일) aired on December 22, 2024, cast member Kim Jong-min found himself in a panic as he faced the confiscation of his mobile phone, leaving him unable to contact his girlfriend. The episode kicked off a special segment titled 'Happy Hotel Stay,' which turned out to be a 'Happy Cold Weather' camp, marking a return to the harsh winter survival training after three years. New members Lee Joon and Jo Se-ho were set to undergo a rigorous initiation.

The producer announced that all phones and personal items deemed unsuitable for the wilderness would be collected, prompting Kim Jong-min to express his concern, saying, 'I can’t do that; I need to send a message to my girlfriend.' Meanwhile, Jo Se-ho and DinDin voiced their worries about the camp, with Jo Se-ho exclaiming, 'We have to set up our own sleeping arrangements? I can’t believe this,' and DinDin adding, 'I trusted the production team too much.'

Kim Jong-min, feeling the urgency, asked, 'Until what time will we have our phones?' The producer replied, 'Until we check out tomorrow.' Shocked, Kim Jong-min responded, 'Really? That’s not good; I need to make a call.' DinDin bluntly advised him, 'Just hang up if she doesn’t answer,' to which Kim Jong-min insisted, 'I need to explain things to her.' DinDin then snapped, 'Just leave a text! Why are you even trying to call if she’s not picking up?' Ultimately, Kim Jong-min was unable to make the call and had to move on to change his clothes.
