Kim Hyung-kyu Surprised by Unexpected Critique on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'

In the latest episode of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny,' aired on December 23, Kim Hyung-kyu found himself taken aback by an unexpected critique regarding his café. During his appearance in the studio, he expressed that his wife, Kim Yoon-ah, was eager to attend the Jaurim year-end concert and hinted at revealing some truths during the show.

While working at his café alongside a friend, Kim Hyung-kyu was also balancing his duties as a dentist. His wife and sister-in-law visited the café, where his sister-in-law reminisced about Kim Hyung-kyu's dedication to studying, recalling how he would sit in a chair for 24 hours, eating and sleeping there. This led to the realization that such commitment likely contributed to his acceptance into Seoul National University’s dental school.

The episode took an interesting turn when a guest arrived, revealed to be An Star, a coffee mentor to several hot celebrities like Code Kunst, Kim Bum-soo, and Lee Sang-soon. Kim Hyung-kyu shared that he had reached out to An Star via DM to learn about his coffee. An Star, a fan of Kim Yoon-ah, humorously expressed his excitement about possibly seeing her.

After tasting a new menu item developed by Kim Hyung-kyu, An Star candidly remarked that it was at a 'home café level' and suggested it was not quite ready for sale, which elicited laughter from Kim Yoon-ah and the panelists, who jokingly advised him to stick to making coffee at home.

An Star also provided some advice, stating that seeking a mainstream flavor in a café that isn’t mainstream could lead to failure. He emphasized the importance of creating unique offerings that can only be experienced at that café, encouraging Kim Hyung-kyu to maintain a distinct identity in his menu.
