Kim Hye-ja and Son Seok-koo Star in New Romantic Drama 'More Beautiful Than Heaven'

The upcoming JTBC drama 'More Beautiful Than Heaven' (천국보다 아름다운), written by Lee Nam-kyu and Kim Soo-jin and directed by Kim Seok-yoon, features a unique romance that transcends life and death. The story follows Lee Hae-sook (played by Kim Hye-ja), who arrives in heaven at the age of 80 and reunites with her husband Ko Nak-jun (Son Seok-koo), who has returned to his youthful self. This dynamic narrative explores Hae-sook's second chance at life, filled with both humor and heartfelt moments.

Renowned director Kim Seok-yoon, known for his acclaimed works like 'Hymn of Death' and 'Dazzling', reunites with writers Lee Nam-kyu and Kim Soo-jin, raising anticipation among drama enthusiasts. Upon entering heaven, Hae-sook chooses to live as her 80-year-old self, motivated by memories of her husband, who once said, "You were beautiful at twenty, beautiful at forty, but my wife is most beautiful now." However, she is surprised to find her husband has returned to his 30s. Their unexpected reunion leads them to embark on a second marriage that blurs the lines between heaven and hell. Hae-sook's journey in heaven, where she remains her true age, is already generating buzz.

Kim Hye-ja portrays the role of Hae-sook, a resilient woman who becomes the head of her household after her husband's accident. Known for her fierce spirit, she faces death at 80 and heads to heaven, where she continues her life as she is.
