Kim Hee-ra Joins Cast of Occult Film 'The Redeemer'

Actress Kim Hee-ra is set to star in the upcoming occult film 'The Redeemer' (구원자), directed by Shin Joon and produced by Mayday Studio and Studio Big Us. Her agency, Gram Entertainment, announced on March 13 that she will portray the character Chun-seo.

'The Redeemer' tells the story of a family's struggle to escape a horrific curse that comes as a price for a miracle they desperately wished for. In the film, Kim Hee-ra's character, Chun-seo, is a single mother raising her son and becomes entangled in significant events after the arrival of a new neighbor, Sun-hee (played by Song Ji-hyo).

Known for her versatile acting skills showcased in various genres, including the Netflix original series 'The Glory', the drama 'Amazing Rumor 2: Counter Punch', and the musical 'Frida', Kim Hee-ra is expected to deliver a compelling performance in 'The Redeemer'.

Expressing her excitement about joining the project, Kim Hee-ra stated, "I am grateful to be part of 'The Redeemer', a film I have always wanted to be in. I have put in my best effort for a great performance, and I hope for your interest and anticipation."

The film has completed its shooting and is currently in post-production, with a scheduled release in 2025.
