Kim Gun-mo's Name Surfaces After Six Years of Silence Thanks to Jung Jun-ha's YouTube Mention

Kim Gun-mo (김건모), once hailed as the 'National Singer' of South Korea, has been absent from the entertainment scene for six years. Despite his long silence, he has unexpectedly resurfaced in public discussions through a recent YouTube video by broadcaster Jung Jun-ha (정준하). On July 22, Jung Jun-ha shared a video on his channel, 'Jung Jun-ha Ha Ha,' featuring his challenge of cycling. During the video, he visited a high-end bicycle store in Bundang, where he explored folding bicycles priced from several million to tens of millions of won.

Jung expressed his affection for a bicycle he had owned for over ten years, which he had found at a department store. While browsing, he noticed a particularly striking bicycle and remarked on its beauty. The store staff informed him that this model is famously associated with Kim Gun-mo. When Jung inquired about the price, he was astonished to learn it was a staggering 17 million won, a rare model limited to just 100 to 191 units worldwide.

This mention has sparked renewed interest in Kim Gun-mo's current activities, with many online commenters asking, 'What is Kim Gun-mo doing these days?' and expressing curiosity about a potential comeback.

Kim Gun-mo has been on hiatus since 2019 after facing serious allegations of sexual assault, which he was later cleared of after a lengthy investigation. Although he was exonerated, he has not made any attempts to return to the entertainment industry. In 2022, he also announced his divorce from his wife, Jang Ji-yeon (장지연), after two years and eight months of marriage.
