Kim Dong-wan Takes on Zumba Dance Instructor Role in New Drama

Actor Kim Dong-wan has embarked on a new chapter in his life as a Zumba dance instructor. During a recent press conference for the KBS2 drama 'Eagle Brothers, Please!' held at the Ramada Sindorim Hotel in Guro-gu, Seoul, Kim showcased his vibrant Zumba skills instead of the typical idol dance routines, marking a refreshing change in his presence.
The drama 'Eagle Brothers, Please!' tells the story of five uniquely talented brothers from a long-established brewery, and the eldest sister-in-law who unexpectedly becomes the head of the family after her husband dies just ten days after their wedding.
In the series, Kim Dong-wan plays the role of Oh Heung-soo, a character who was once a popular backup dancer for the 'Eagle Brewery' but is now trying to revive his career by teaching broadcast and Zumba dance at a community center.
During the photo session, Kim entertained the audience with his well-honed Zumba moves, bringing laughter to the event. Known for his charismatic and precise dance style as a member of the group Shinhwa for many years, his Zumba performance offered a fresh spectacle.
In the Q&A session, Kim expressed, "Many people mistakenly think of Zumba as 'auntie dance' and assume it's easy and simple, but it's actually intense and dynamic. When I first started learning, I had to rehabilitate my hips due to the strain, but I found it very enjoyable and fun. I believe viewers will think, 'Maybe I should try that too!' while watching the drama," showcasing his confidence in Zumba.
The drama featuring Kim Dong-wan's Zumba dance, 'Eagle Brothers, Please!', is set to premiere on February 1 at 8 PM.
