Kim Do-kyun Collaborates with JUVENILE for New Single 'Letter'

Kim Do-kyun of the group 82MAJOR is set to release a new collaboration track with JUVENILE. The announcement was made by their agency, Great M Entertainment, on December 24, revealing the jacket photo and confirming that the song 'Letter' (feat. KIMDOGYUN, 82MAJOR) will drop on January 24, 2025.

This upcoming single is part of a global project led by JUVENILE, a DJ and music producer based in Japan. Notably, this marks Kim Do-kyun's first solo track featuring him since his debut, adding a special significance to the release.

'Letter' is characterized by Kim Do-kyun's powerful vocals intertwined with JUVENILE's emotive melodies, making it a perfect winter ballad. JUVENILE contributed to the composition and arrangement, while 82MAJOR members Kim Do-kyun and Hwang Seong-bin co-wrote the lyrics, enhancing the song's quality.

In a statement through his agency, Kim Do-kyun expressed his excitement about working with JUVENILE, stating, "I am very happy and thrilled to collaborate with JUVENILE. Even with language differences, we were able to communicate through music and create something wonderful together."

He added, "I hope listeners enjoy the lyrics alongside the music video. The storyline and emotions of the lyrics I wrote after hearing the melody for the first time blend beautifully with the stunning visuals in the music video, allowing for a deeper emotional experience."

JUVENILE has also been active in the music scene, having written, composed, and arranged the theme song 'IMMORTAL' for the 2024 TV anime 'The Unwanted Immortal Adventurer,' in which he also performed. His work on RADIO FISH's 'PERFECT HUMAN' has garnered over 100 million views on YouTube, showcasing his prowess as a music producer.

82MAJOR, which includes members Nam Seong-mo, Park Seok-jun, Yoon Ye-chan, Jo Seong-il, Hwang Seong-bin, and Kim Do-kyun, released their second mini-album 'X-82' in October, achieving notable success with the title track 'Tip of the Tongue.' They recently ranked 6th on the DRT 'GLOBAL TOP 150 INDEPENDENT AIRPLAY CHART' and 112th on the DRT 'GLOBAL TOP 200 AIRPLAY CHART,' solidifying their position as a rising force in the fifth generation of K-pop idols.
