Kim Dae-ho Joins 'The Great Guide Season 2' After Leaving MBC

Announcing his departure from MBC, announcer Kim Dae-ho has chosen 'The Great Guide Season 2' as his first new project as a freelancer. On February 7, MBC Every1 confirmed that Kim Dae-ho will be joining the cast alongside comedian Park Myung-soo and actor Choi Daniel.

'The Great Guide' is a reality travel show where long-term foreign residents in Korea act as guides, revealing hidden gems known only to locals to travelers visiting their home country. The show premiered as a pilot in October 2023 and was officially launched in March 2024 due to its popularity.

The first season aired for 15 weeks, and now it is set to return in the first half of this year with Kim Dae-ho, Park Myung-soo, and Choi Daniel as travel companions. Having participated in the pilot, Kim Dae-ho is expected to bring a more seasoned presence to the show.

Previously known as 'the trendsetter' and 'MBC's son' during his time at MBC, Kim Dae-ho showcased his humorous side during a local trip with Italian Alberto, where he humorously searched for an 'Iced Americano' in an Italian café, creating a charming chemistry that resonated with viewers.

Following his recent announcement of leaving MBC, Kim Dae-ho has garnered significant attention. While he has not disclosed his future plans, he is expected to continue appearing on existing MBC programs such as 'I Live Alone' and 'Home Alone!'. His involvement in 'The Great Guide Season 2' adds to the anticipation surrounding his next steps.

'The Great Guide Season 2' is scheduled to air on MBC Every1 in the first half of this year.
