Kim Bora Shares Update After Divorce Announcement

Actress Kim Bora (김보라), 30, has captured the attention of fans just a day after announcing her divorce. On May 10, she posted a brief message reading "The End" along with several photos taken at the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival on her social media. In the images, Kim is seen navigating the event with a bright smile and enjoying relaxed moments with colleagues during a gathering.

Additionally, she shared a photo of a paper with the words "We were happy," which has led to interpretations that it symbolizes both the conclusion of the film festival and a metaphorical reflection on her personal feelings.

Previously, Kim co-hosted the closing ceremony of the Jeonju International Film Festival alongside actor Kang Gil-woo (강길우). Her professional demeanor during the event stood in stark contrast to the emotional news of her divorce shared just a day earlier, evoking both sympathy and support from her fans.

On May 9, Kim officially announced her separation from director Jo Ba-rn (조바른) after 11 months of marriage. Her agency, Noon Company (눈컴퍼니), stated, "After careful consideration and sufficient discussions, we have amicably concluded the divorce process. We ask that you refrain from unfounded speculation and sensational reporting."

The couple first connected while working on the film "Gwaegimanseon" (괴기맨숀) and became husband and wife after three years of dating, tying the knot in June of the previous year. However, less than a year later, they have chosen to part ways.

In the wake of her divorce announcement, Kim's recent updates appear calm and composed, yet her brief words seem to carry a depth of complex emotions. Fans have been sending warm messages of support, saying things like, "Stay strong," "Wishing you a beautiful path ahead," and "You are always a wonderful actress."

Kim Bora made her acting debut in 2005 with the drama "Wedding" and has since showcased her solid acting skills in various projects, including "SKY Castle" (SKY 캐슬), "Her Private Life" (그녀의 사생활), and films like "Moral Sense" (모럴센스) and "The Ghost of Oksu Station" (옥수역귀신). Director Jo Ba-rn is known for his works such as "Gwaegimanseon" and "Blow Breeze" (불어라 검풍아), and he won a short film award at the 2017 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
