Kim Bora Divorces After 11 Months of Marriage

Actress Kim Bora has officially divorced just 11 months after her wedding. On May 10, her agency, Noon Company, released a statement expressing regret for having to share such news with fans who had offered their warm support. They clarified that Kim Bora and her husband, director Jo Ba-run, reached a mutual agreement to proceed with the divorce after careful consideration and discussions, completing all necessary procedures recently. The agency urged the public to refrain from spreading unfounded speculation, sensational reports, or false information regarding the split.

Kim Bora and Jo Ba-run tied the knot in June 2024 after dating for three years, having met while working together on the film 'Gwaegimanseon' in 2021. Their wedding featured a performance by Kim Bora's close friend, Lee Soo-hyun from AKMU, and was attended by fellow actors including Kim Hye-yoon, Jin Ji-hee, Shin So-yul, Lee Joo-myung, and Jo Hyun-ah from Urban Zakapa, who all celebrated their union.

Despite the joyful beginning, the couple has now chosen to part ways. While the agency did not disclose specific reasons for the divorce, reports suggest that differences in personality may have contributed to their decision.

On the same day the divorce news broke, Kim Bora shared updates on her social media without mentioning the split. She posted photos from the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, where she served as a host for the closing ceremony, showcasing moments from the event.

Kim Bora began her acting career in 2005 with the drama 'Wedding' and has since appeared in various films and dramas, including 'The Mayor and the County Head', 'Legend of the Town', 'Monster', 'Time Renegades', 'Goodbye Summer', 'Moral Sense', 'The Ghost of Ok-su Station', 'Jungle Fish 2', 'The Lady's Perfume', 'SKY Castle', 'Her Private Life', and 'Flowers Blooming in the Sand'.

Director Jo Ba-run won the Korean Fantastic Short Film Award at the 21st Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in 2017 and has directed films such as 'Vibration', 'Gang', 'Blow, Wind', and 'Gwaegimanseon'.
