KickFlip Shares Behind-the-Scenes of Their Debut Stage

On February 16, JYP's rookie boy group KickFlip made an appearance on SBS PowerFM's 'Cultwo Show' (두시탈출 컬투쇼), revealing insights about their debut stage. The name 'KickFlip' is inspired by a skateboarding term that refers to a 360-degree flip, symbolizing their ambition to overcome challenges and adversities.
Formed through the SBS boy group audition program 'LOUD:라우드', KickFlip is a fresh group that debuted less than a month ago. Member Gyeo-hun expressed his feelings about debuting, stating, 'There are many new experiences, and it feels both awkward and exciting.' Notably, all seven members of the group have an 'I' personality type according to MBTI, with K-Joo being identified as the most introverted among them.
The title track of their debut album, 'Mama Said (뭐가 되려고?)', is described by the group as a lively and energetic song that conveys the message of not succumbing to parental nagging and forging their own path. When asked by Kim Tae-kyun if mothers only speak the truth, the members humorously replied, 'No child can outsmart their parents,' emphasizing their desire to surpass their role models.
Additionally, during their first live music show performance, member Dong-hwa experienced an unexpected incident where his arm got stuck. He recounted, 'I thought I needed to fix it quickly since it was our first live broadcast and stage. I held on and continued, eventually becoming the ending fairy before coming down,' surprising everyone with his composure during the mishap.
