KickFlip Redefines Refreshing Concepts with New Single 'FREEZE'
JYP Entertainment's rookie boy group KickFlip is currently promoting their new track 'FREEZE' as they redefine the refreshing concept in K-pop. The group is set to make their first comeback on May 26 with their second mini-album titled 'Kick Out, Flip Now!' and the title track 'FREEZE'. JYP has been actively teasing the new album through their official social media channels, releasing fresh content to build excitement.
Members Kyeo-hun, Amaru, Dong-hwa, Joo-wang, Min-je, K-Ju, and Dong-hyun showcase a youthful charm in their concept images, dressed in school uniforms and gym outfits reminiscent of high school movie protagonists, while also revealing a playful side. Their unique poses, such as lounging on desks and chairs, have captured the attention of fans both domestically and internationally, who are thrilled by the vibrant energy that KickFlip brings to the school-themed concept.
Since their debut, KickFlip has engaged fans with a variety of short-form videos, and they are continuing this trend with their comeback. The group has released fun content themed around school life, including skits like 'Sneaking Snacks During Gym Class' and 'The Unusual Transfer Student', as well as a 'FREEZE TIME' series showcasing what each member does during their breaks. They even designed promotional posters that they placed around the JYP building, embodying a bubbly and refreshing vibe that resonates with Gen Z.
On May 19, the group made a special appearance on KBS Cool FM's 'Lee Eun-ji's Music Plaza' to further promote their new album. They wore custom white t-shirts with red lettering that read, 'Codered but someday that sun will explode, so let’s not complicate Freeze and kickflip with electricity.' The seven members not only promoted 'Kick Out, Flip Now!' but also showcased their vocal talents with live performances of their debut song 'Mama Said (뭐가 되려고?)' and '응 그래'.
The new album features a total of seven tracks, including the title song 'FREEZE', 'Kick It', 'Someday the Sun Will Explode', 'Electricity', 'Complicated!!', 'Code Red', and 'How We KickFlip'. The members contributed to the production of the title track and some other songs, demonstrating their musical capabilities.
KickFlip will officially release 'Kick Out, Flip Now!' and the title track 'FREEZE' on May 26 at 6 PM KST. They will also hold a comeback showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at 8 PM the same day.
