Kickflip Members Showcase Their Unique Charms on 'Jae Friends'

On June 26, Kim Jaejoong's YouTube channel 'Jae Friends' featured an episode titled 'JYP Trains Flirting Masters Even After 54 Months S4 E17'. In this episode, Jaejoong prepared meat jjajang for the rookie group Kickflip, who recently announced their comeback schedule.

Jaejoong humorously noted, "I cut all the ingredients into large pieces since we’re going for a ganjjajang vibe, and meat jjajang is simpler than you think." He created a homemade jjajangmyeon using fresh onions, chunks of meat, and sweetly stir-fried potatoes with black bean paste. This dish was dedicated to Kickflip, a boy group that debuted just five months ago under JYP Entertainment.

Jaejoong expressed his admiration for the group, saying, "Thanks to these guys, I got to visit the new JYP building, and it was really nice. The JYP kids have such good personalities. While YG kids are also nice, JYP kids stand out for their kindness." However, he admitted feeling bad for not remembering all their names after just one meeting.

When he saw member Gyehoon, he jokingly exclaimed, "This kid is a foreigner!" to which Gyehoon laughed, recalling that Jaejoong had said the same thing when they first met. Jaejoong candidly confessed, "I’m sorry, but I can’t remember any names."

Donghwa chimed in, "We’ve known each other for about 3-4 months now, and our second album is coming out soon on June 6 at 6 PM," showcasing the enthusiasm typical of rookies and making Jaejoong smile.

Jaejoong then served the jjajangmyeon, contrasting it with the JYP cafeteria, saying, "We’re not organic here; there’s a bit of MSG in it too." He also asked about their self-chosen nickname, which belonged to Gyehoon. Donghwa, with his bright smile, humorously stated, "I love frogs and have been told I resemble one, or maybe a reptile," leaving Jaejoong a bit taken aback.

The members shared their excitement about performing on music shows, something they had eagerly anticipated since before their debut. Minje expressed, "I really wanted to be on music shows before our debut, and meeting fans in person is so touching." However, he also mentioned a mishap, saying, "Donghwa performed even with a dislocated arm." Donghwa added, "I went on stage holding my arm. I bumped it in the elevator and ended up in tears."

Donghwa then revealed Gyehoon's affectionate side, prompting Jaejoong to ask, "Why do you kiss the members while they’re sleeping?" Gyehoon replied coolly, "I do it to build a warm image with the members. What’s wrong with that?" Donghwa then reenacted a scene where Gyehoon sneakily approached member Juwang on the sofa and kissed him, surprising everyone. Gyehoon clarified, "I’m the leader, so I don’t just kiss anyone. I ask, 'Hyung, I love you, can I kiss you?'" Jaejoong humorously suggested, "From the company’s perspective, just film this as a self-content piece."
