KIA Tigers' Kwak Do-kyu Showcases Unique Interior Style on 'I Live Alone'

On December 20, 2024, the MBC variety show 'I Live Alone' featured KIA Tigers' left-handed pitcher and national team member Kwak Do-kyu, who shared insights into his life as a second-year independent resident. Kwak expressed his desire to create a cozy atmosphere in his home, despite its small size, showcasing a neatly organized space. A notable highlight was a set of 화투 (hwatu) cards displayed as decor, which he revealed were taught to him by his grandmother during his childhood. He humorously noted that he keeps them for good luck, as they are associated with high scores in games.
Kwak shared his passion for home decoration, stating that since moving into his own place, he feels his career has been flourishing, including his recent selection for the national team. He also mentioned that he had just returned to Gwangju after three days with the national team. Interestingly, Kwak, born in 2004, enjoys listening to older songs, including '나만 모르게' (Na Man Moreuge) by Supreme Team, released in 2008. He also humorously mentioned that he sleeps with a mouthguard due to severe teeth grinding. Additionally, a cuckoo clock in his home added an unexpected charm to his living space.
