KIA Tigers' Kwak Do-kyu Shares His Admiration for Code Kunst on 'I Live Alone'

On the December 20 episode of MBC's reality show 'I Live Alone' (나 혼자 산다), Kwak Do-kyu, a left-handed pitcher for the KIA Tigers and a member of the national team, showcased his second year of living alone. During the episode, he expressed his admiration for hip-hop artist Code Kunst, stating that he enjoys listening to older songs from original artists like Dynamic Duo and Beenzino. Kwak was visibly excited when he met Code Kunst, even discussing some of his lesser-known tracks. Code Kunst remarked, 'He knows his music,' and humorously noted that it was the first time in three years he had heard anything other than questions about his eating habits.
In a light-hearted moment, Key from SHINee joked that he thought Code Kunst was a barista, to which Code Kunst replied, 'You should just burn gasoline for the rest of your life,' referencing one of Key's hit songs, causing laughter among the cast.
Kwak also shared that he has been studying English while doing chores like laundry. When asked by Jeon Hyun-moo if he was preparing for Major League Baseball, he revealed that he faced a significant slump in his senior year of high school, which led him to consider a working holiday. Fortunately, things turned around, and he made many friends among foreign players.
He mentioned that he keeps an English learning app open while cleaning and doing laundry, emphasizing his meticulous cleaning habits, which he developed as a team captain in high school. Code Kunst was impressed by Kwak's playlist, commenting, 'Your playlist is really good,' which brought smiles to everyone.
