KCM Remembers Late Singer Wheesung in Heartfelt Tribute

On March 16, 2025, singer KCM paid tribute once again to his late colleague Wheesung, expressing his sorrow and fond memories. KCM shared a heartfelt message saying, "Seong-ah, you have worked so hard... now rest in peace. I won't forget you... let's sing together on stage again someday." This marks KCM's second tribute since Wheesung's passing on March 10, just five days prior. KCM had previously expressed his remorse, stating, "Let's meet on March 15... Seong-ah, I'm sorry..." He also shared a notice on his personal story about his seafood restaurant in Jeju, indicating it was closed for the day in remembrance.
KCM and the late Wheesung were scheduled to perform together in a concert titled 'The Story' at the Daegu EXCO Auditorium on March 15 at 6 PM. Just days before the concert, Wheesung had excitedly posted on his social media about meeting fans, saying, "Diet is over, see you on March 15." However, tragedy struck on March 10 when Wheesung was found unresponsive at his apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at around 6:29 PM. Emergency services were called by his family and attempted CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result, the joint concert was canceled. A representative from KCM's agency, A2Z Entertainment, confirmed to OSEN, "We had planned a joint concert for March 15, but we received the news of Wheesung's passing today. The concert was not structured for a duet but rather a solo performance by each artist for an hour. After hearing the news, we were informed by the concert planning company that the event was officially canceled, and we extend our condolences to the deceased."
Meanwhile, a memorial for Wheesung was set up at Samsung Medical Center's funeral hall starting at 11 AM on March 14. Many artists, including Lee Hyori, IU, Kim Taewoo from g.o.d, KCM, K.Will, and others, visited to pay their respects. BTS (방탄소년단) and TWICE sent floral tributes to honor their senior in the music industry.
