KBS Countdown Show Sees Overwhelming Demand for Audience Tickets

KBS has announced that the ticket applications for the 'KBS 2025 Countdown Show LIGHT NOW' have officially closed due to an overwhelming response. The application period ran from December 13 to December 23, and the show is set to take place on December 31.
Hosted by KBS announcer Hong Joo-yeon, with KBS's Jung Eun-hye conducting citizen interviews, the event will feature a star-studded lineup of K-pop artists including J.Y. Park, 2AM, Jannabi, Stella Jang, Choi Yoori, Xdinary Heroes, Kep1er, xikers, ALL(H)OURS, NOWADAYS, BADVILLAIN, and SAY MY NAME. A special collaboration stage featuring J.Y. Park and 2AM is also anticipated.
With only 1,500 seats available, the show received an astonishing 19,420 applications, exceeding the available spots by nearly 12 times. Winners of the ticket lottery will be notified via text message on December 24 at 3 PM.
The 'Countdown Show' will be a festive celebration marking the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, taking place at the outdoor stage in front of the Shinsegae Department Store in Myeongdong, Seoul. Two stages will be set up at the Seoul Central Post Office Plaza and the fountain plaza next to Shinsegae, showcasing a variety of visuals. Following the premiere of the New Year countdown video on the large LED screen at Shinsegae, a spectacular fireworks display is also planned.
Fans can catch the 'KBS 2025 Countdown Show LIGHT NOW' live on KBS 2TV, KBS KPOP, and the KBS Entertainment YouTube channel starting at 11 PM on December 31.
