KATSEYE's Megan Comes Out as Bisexual, Joining Fellow Member Lara

On June 6, 2025, during a live broadcast with fellow KATSEYE member Lara, Megan publicly came out as bisexual, marking her as the second member of the global girl group to identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. Lara joyfully celebrated Megan's announcement, and fans expressed their support with messages like, "Thank you for your courage" and "I expected it, but it's amazing."

Lara had previously come out as gay in March through the fan platform Weverse, stating, "This is a part of me, and I am not ashamed. In fact, I am proud." She shared her fears during her participation in the survival audition program 'The Debut: Dream Academy,' worried about how people would accept her. However, she now feels assured and grateful for the support from fans.

With Megan's revelation, KATSEYE has become the first active girl group to have two officially out LGBTQ+ members. This is particularly significant given the group's global fanbase, as it sends a strong message of diversity and inclusion.

KATSEYE, a six-member girl group formed through the joint efforts of HYBE and Geffen Records, debuted in June 2024. They are set to release their second EP, 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS,' on June 27 and will also perform at Lollapalooza Chicago in July.
