KATSEYE's Megan Comes Out as Bisexual

Megan (19), a member of the multinational group KATSEYE (캣츠아이) under HYBE, has publicly come out as bisexual. This announcement makes her the second member of the group to do so, following Lara (20), who revealed her sexual orientation earlier this year.
During a live broadcast with Lara on June 6, Megan stated, "I want to come out. I am bisexual," expressing her joy by jumping in place alongside Lara after sharing her identity.
Megan's coming out marks the second instance within KATSEYE, as Lara had previously shared her experience on the fan communication platform Weverse in March. Lara disclosed, "I have known I was gay since I was eight years old. I was very scared during the audition process because I didn't know if people would accept me, and I worried about losing my chance to debut."
She continued, "Thanks to the immense love and support from all of you, I have become prouder of myself. Coming out can be frightening, especially as a person of color, but I am proud. This identity is a part of me, and I am not ashamed of it."
KATSEYE debuted in June of last year as a six-member group localized for the American market, a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records. The group was formed through the global audition program 'The Debut: Dream Academy,' which attracted 120,000 applicants in 2023. The members include Lara, Daniela, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae.
