KATSEYE Captivates at 2024 MAMA with LA Rams Cheerleaders Collaboration

The K-pop group KATSEYE (캣츠아이) has mesmerized global fans with a special performance alongside the LA Rams cheerleading team at the 2024 MAMA AWARDS, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on November 22 (KST).
KATSEYE, consisting of members Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sofia, and Yoonchae, showcased their debut single 'Debut' and the double title track 'Touch' from their first EP 'SIS (Soft Is Strong)'. The group made a striking entrance in outfits inspired by the Rams' cheerleading uniforms, delivering an electrifying performance.
They enhanced the excitement of their set by remixing their songs with drum beats, stadium organs, whistles, and cheer sounds. The upbeat rhythm of 'Debut' elevated the atmosphere, complemented by intense dance breaks that captivated the audience. The performance of 'Touch' reached its peak as KATSEYE synchronized with the LA Rams cheerleaders, creating a dynamic and precise choreography that had the crowd cheering enthusiastically, which was frequently captured on camera.
KATSEYE is a global group that debuted in the U.S. through a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, utilizing the 'K-pop production system'. Cheerleading is a quintessential aspect of American culture, and KATSEYE's collaboration with a local football cheerleading team at this year's inaugural U.S. MAMA exemplifies a successful fusion of K-pop and local culture.
Since its release in July, 'Touch' has consistently performed well on major U.S. music charts, demonstrating strong momentum. The track has charted for 11 weeks on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) and 10 weeks on the Global 200 as of the latest chart dated November 23. Additionally, it has maintained a presence on the Pop Airplay chart for five consecutive weeks, reflecting its popularity among American radio audiences.
