Kara's Kang Ji-young Remembers Late Member Goo Hara on 5th Anniversary of Her Passing

On November 24, 2024, Kang Ji-young took to her social media to honor her late friend and fellow Kara member, Goo Hara, on the fifth anniversary of her passing. She shared a heartfelt post featuring a nostalgic photo with the caption "ㅂㄱㅅㅇ (보고싶어)," which translates to "I miss you."

The image captures a moment from their days in Kara, showing Kang Ji-young and Goo Hara sharing earphones, a testament to their close friendship that resonates deeply with fans.

Goo Hara tragically passed away on November 24, 2019, at the young age of 28. She was found deceased in her home in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, after a housekeeper reported the incident. Following an investigation, authorities concluded that her death was not the result of foul play.

Though she is no longer with them, the legacy of Kara continues. The group reunited on November 29, 2022, with all five members—Park Gyuri, Han Seung-yeon, Nicole, Kang Ji-young, and Heo Young-ji—releasing their song "When I Move," marking their first full group comeback in seven years. Additionally, they showcased their enduring presence with the release of a special digital single titled "I Do I Do" on July 24, 2024.
