Kangnam Praises Wife Lee Sang-hwa's Wealth on 'Jo Dongari'

On March 23, a new video titled "Jo Dongari Following Kangnam to Japan" was released on the 'Jo Dongari' channel, featuring broadcaster Kangnam expressing his admiration for his wife, Lee Sang-hwa's financial success. In the episode, Kangnam discussed a recent segment where he secretly filmed himself eating food in the early morning without Lee's knowledge. He humorously remarked, "It’s not easy to keep it light on air; it’s terrifying! Horror movies don’t even compare. I was so scared that I couldn’t relax at all. The producers were struggling too, so I would sometimes visit the office, and they were editing the footage while I was there, surprised by my reactions."

Kangnam also shared, "I want people to know that I put my life on the line for these shoots. At that time, I was dealing with fatty liver issues, and I used to be quite handsome. Thanks to shows like 'I Live Alone' and 'School Attack,' I’ve been fortunate in my career. Being around influential figures like Yoo Jae-suk and Haha naturally helped me grow in the industry."

He continued, "Before our wedding, I lost a significant amount of weight, dropping to 65 kg, which is about 15 kg less than I am now. Lee Sang-hwa often mentioned she wanted me to lose weight, but since I love ramen, I would sneakily eat it in the early hours while filming. The production team caught on and edited it into the show, which unexpectedly became a hit. We ended up doing it twice, but it caused some tension between us. I didn’t want to continue, but then chicken advertisements started rolling in after the secret chicken-eating segment went viral!"

Kim Yong-man chimed in, recalling a funny moment when Lee Sang-hwa came down and asked, "Is this an advertisement?" while clearing away the leftovers. Kangnam joked, "As a husband, I still need to earn money!"

Kangnam also revealed, "Initially, we decided to merge our bank accounts because we’re married. When Lee saw my account, she said, 'You should give me an allowance.' I’ve been hurt too much in the past, so I avoid talking about money now. She buys the expensive items like the sofa and TV, while I handle the groceries like tomatoes and perilla leaves."

Curious, Ji Seok-jin asked if Kangnam had seen Lee Sang-hwa's bank account and what his impression was. Kangnam humorously replied, "I feel like I should keep using honorifics!" to which Kim Yong-man nodded in agreement, saying, "That’s wise. That’s how you survive in marriage!"
