Kang Hae-rim Prepares for Role in 'Lobby' with Intense Golf Training

Actress 강해림 (Kang Hae-rim) shared her dedication to her role in the upcoming film '로비' (Lobby) during a press screening held on March 25 at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. To convincingly portray a professional golfer, she practiced golf for five hours a day over the course of five months before filming began.

Set to be released on April 2, 'Lobby' tells the story of a startup CEO, 창욱 (Chang-wook), played by 하정우 (Ha Jung-woo), who embarks on his first lobbying golf experience to secure a 4 trillion won government project. This film marks Ha Jung-woo's directorial return after his previous works '롤러코스터' (Roller Coaster) and '허삼관' (The Attorney).

In the film, Kang Hae-rim plays the role of 진프로 (Jin-pro), the favorite golfer of 최실장 (Choi Sil-jang), who supports Chang-wook. She described her character as a once-promising golfer who suffers from the yips, preventing her from playing. Initially obedient to her father's wishes, her character eventually participates in social golf on her own terms, facing various challenges along the way. Kang expressed that she felt her character was the most relatable and normal person in the film.

She emphasized the importance of posture in her portrayal of a professional golfer, admitting that she felt a significant lack of skill during her extensive training. "I worked hard to achieve a form that closely resembles that of a real golfer," she stated.
