JYP's Park Jin-young Tops K-Pop Executive Salaries in 2024
Park Jin-young, the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of JYP Entertainment, has emerged as the highest-paid executive among the top four K-Pop entertainment companies in 2024. According to the consolidated business reports from HYBE, SM, JYP, and YG Entertainment released on March 26, Park earned a staggering 3.16289 billion KRW last year.
His leadership in global rookie projects, global producing, and ESG initiatives has been recognized as instrumental in achieving the company's management goals. Notably, last year, both TWICE and Stray Kids achieved remarkable success in tours and global chart performances, standing out among K-Pop girl and boy groups.
A total of thirteen executives received over 500 million KRW, which is required to be disclosed. Following Park, YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun-suk ranked second with 2.610 billion KRW, while former HYBE CEO Park Ji-won came in third with 2.330 billion KRW.
JYP's CEO Jung Wook and Vice President Byun Sang-bong secured the fourth and fifth positions with salaries of 1.91714 billion KRW and 1.27869 billion KRW, respectively.
During the same period, HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk did not receive a salary but earned a bonus of 980 million KRW and other income totaling 988 million KRW, placing him in eighth place.
SM's co-CEOs Tak Young-jun and Jang Cheol-hyuk received 811 million KRW and 810 million KRW, ranking eleventh and twelfth, respectively. Lee Sung-soo, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) overseeing SM A&R, followed closely with a total of 733 million KRW.
