JYP's New Boy Group KickFlip to Make Festival Debut at Lollapalooza Chicago

JYP Entertainment's rookie boy group KickFlip is set to make their debut at a major global music festival this summer. According to an announcement made on March 18 via Lollapalooza's official social media channels, KickFlip will perform at Lollapalooza Chicago, taking place from July 31 to August 3 in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois. This marks a significant milestone for the group, as they will showcase their energy as the 'next K-pop super rookies' just six months after their debut in January.

Lollapalooza, which began in Chicago in 1991, is a renowned music festival that takes place in various locations around the world, including the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, and France. Each year, the festival features over 170 acts and attracts an average of 115,000 attendees per day. With their impressive performances and live skills, KickFlip is expected to capture the attention of music fans globally on the Lollapalooza stage.

KickFlip made their official debut on January 20 with their mini-album 'Flip it, Kick it!' (플립 잇, 킥 잇!) and the title track 'Mama Said (뭐가 되려고?)' (마마 세드). Their first promotional activities concluded successfully, with their new release topping the Circle Chart's weekly album and retail album charts for the week of January 19 to January 25, 2025. They also achieved an impressive first-week sales figure of 276,881 copies on the Hanteo Chart, earning them an official certification for first-week sales. Just 33 days after their debut, they proved their immense potential by winning two awards at a music awards ceremony.

Recently, KickFlip has been engaging with fans through various self-produced content shared on their official social media channels. They showcase their chemistry in a weekly series called 'Kick 2 Kick' (킥투킥), where members pair up for conversations. Additionally, they will premiere a travel-themed content series titled 'What Are We Going to Be on Our Trip?' (여행가서 뭐가 되려고?) on the 21st, highlighting their carefree charm.
