JYP Entertainment Ranks 3rd Globally in TIME's Sustainable Growth Companies

JYP Entertainment, the agency behind popular K-pop groups like TWICE (트와이스) and Stray Kids (스트레이 키즈), has been recognized as the 3rd best company in the world for sustainable growth by TIME magazine. This ranking was announced on September 27, 2023, in collaboration with the German market research firm Statista, which evaluated companies for its 'World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025' list. JYP secured the top position among South Korean companies with a score of 93.66 in the Technology, Media & Services sector, making it the only Asian company to break into the top 10. Other notable South Korean firms in the top 100 include Samsung Biologics at 52nd and LS Electric at 62nd. The list highlights 500 companies worldwide that maintain strong financial health while excelling in sustainable development. TIME and Statista calculated the rankings based on revenue growth, financial stability, and environmental impact, each contributing equally to the final score. Statista noted that JYP achieved high marks across all categories, particularly in its use of renewable energy, placing it in the top 5% for carbon emissions. This recognition is rare for an entertainment company. Additionally, JYP received an 'AA' rating in the 2023 MSCI ESG assessment, the highest among K-pop entertainment firms, and was the first in the industry to publish a sustainability report detailing its ESG efforts in 2022. JYP's CEO, Jung Wook (정욱), emphasized the company's commitment to creating a positive social impact and highlighted the collaborative efforts of artists, trainees, employees, fans, and partners in building a sustainable future. Under the vision 'EDM (Every Dream Matters!)', JYP aims to give back to society in appreciation of the support its artists have received.
