JYP Entertainment Donates 500 Million Won to Support Victims of Wildfires in Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk

JYP Entertainment has made a generous donation of 500 million won to World Vision to assist residents and families of children affected by the recent large-scale wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions. This funding will be allocated to support the urgent needs of over 10,000 individuals impacted by the wildfires in Uiseong and Sancheong, ensuring their basic rights to survival and aiding in their psychological and emotional recovery. The aid will include emergency supplies such as blankets and essential kits, as well as financial support for living expenses and household appliances, alongside psychological support for both residents and children.

In a statement, JYP Entertainment expressed their heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their homes due to the sudden wildfires, hoping that the affected community and children can find hope and return to their daily lives as soon as possible.

Previously, JYP Entertainment donated 300 million won in March 2022 to support children and victims of wildfires in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions, and in February 2023, they contributed 500 million won to assist children and residents affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

JYP Entertainment is committed to giving back to society through structured Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and various community service projects, fueled by the support and love they receive from the public. Their initiatives began in 2002 with a charity concert at Samsung Medical Center, bringing joy to pediatric patients. Since 2019, they have launched projects under the slogan 'EDM (Every Dream Matters!)', which includes financial support for children with incurable diseases, emotional support projects to uplift these children, and eco-friendly initiatives like 'Love Earth' aimed at fostering healthier living environments.
