Jungkook's Live Stream Breaks Records with 20.2 Million Views

Jungkook (정국) of BTS (방탄소년단) recently held a live stream during his vacation, amassing an impressive 20.2 million cumulative views in real-time. This marks the highest number since the launch of the global superfan platform Weverse in 2019. As of December 19 at 1 PM, the stream had received a staggering 292 million hearts. Jungkook previously set a record of 16 million views during a personal live stream last year, surpassing his own achievement this time.
The live broadcast began on December 18 at 11:39 PM, where Jungkook greeted fans, expressing his excitement and nervousness after such a long time. He shared updates about his life and gave a tour of his new home, mentioning that he had prepared for the live session during his vacation and had been keeping fit with daily running and weight training.
Responding to fan requests, Jungkook performed over 30 songs, starting with Taeyeon's 'To. X' and followed by Block B's 'Nananana'. He also sang Rosé's 'APT.' and Ailee's 'Magnetic', showcasing his admiration for Big Bang by performing G-Dragon's 'Niliria (G-Dragon Ver.)' and 'Who You?'.
He highlighted the strong bond among BTS members by singing Jin's 'I’ll Be There' and V's digital single 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)'. The latter part of the live was filled with his own tracks, including 'Standing Next to You' from his solo album 'GOLDEN' and '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)'. He concluded the session by humming 'Don’t Go' by Skrillex, Justin Bieber, and Don Toliver, expressing his joy and promising to practice more for future performances.

Additionally, Jungkook recently won two awards at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, taking home the titles for Top K-Pop Album and Top Global K-Pop Song. He also ranked 60th on Billboard's Year-End Charts for Top Artist, achieving the highest position among Korean artists.
