Jungkook Sets New Billboard Record as K-Pop Solo Artist

Jungkook (정국) of BTS (방탄소년단) has achieved a remarkable milestone on the Billboard charts. According to the latest Billboard update released on January 28, 2025, his solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)', which debuted in July 2023, has now spent 80 weeks on the 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' chart, landing at 72nd place. This accomplishment makes Jungkook the K-Pop solo artist with the longest presence on this chart. Additionally, 'Seven (feat. Latto)' climbed 14 spots to reach 101st on the 'Global 200' chart.
Meanwhile, Jimin (지민) continues to excel on Billboard's main album and song charts. His second solo album 'MUSE' has secured the 77th position on the 'Billboard 200', while the title track 'Who' has debuted at 25th on the 'Hot 100'. Despite being released in July 2023, both the album and the song have seen significant gains, rising 42 and 16 spots respectively. 'MUSE' also topped the 'World Albums' chart, and 'Who' made impressive strides on the 'Streaming Songs' chart, landing at 11th. Furthermore, 'Who' has entered the rankings at 22nd on the 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' and 16th on the 'Global 200'.
Solo projects from Jin (진) and V (뷔) are also performing well. Jin's solo album 'Happy' is currently at 17th on the 'World Albums' chart, with the title track 'Running Wild' charting at 134th on the 'Global (Excl. U.S.)'. V's 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)', released in November 2023, is ranked 123rd on the 'Global (Excl. U.S.)'.
Additionally, BTS's anthology album 'Proof' has reached 6th place on the 'World Albums' chart, maintaining its position for 137 weeks, which heightens anticipation for the group's future activities as a complete ensemble.
