Jungkook of BTS Shares His Thoughts Ahead of Military Discharge
Jungkook (정국) of BTS (방탄소년단) opened up about his feelings as he approaches his military discharge in four months. On February 15, he posted a heartfelt message on the fan communication platform Weverse, starting with, "How are you, ARMY?" He expressed that the fluctuating weather reflects his emotions, saying, "It feels like the weather is warming up, then getting cold again, almost mirroring my heart. Today feels particularly gloomy. Although there's still time left, I feel like I'm becoming more self-aware as the days go by."
He continued, "It's a night filled with many thoughts. Sometimes, I imagine taking photos with ARMY, and it brings a smile to my face. However, there are moments when I wonder if it's just a fantasy. I will definitely build memories that are even more beautiful than my imagination, but that means I need to put in the effort."
Jungkook reassured fans, saying, "I never forget that you are the ones who hold the pencil that writes my story. I know what I need to do, but I still feel a bit anxious and excited. Writing this helps me not to dwell too much on my thoughts."
In closing, he said, "I just want you to know how much I think about you all. I don't wish for anything else. Thank you for reading my message. I miss you today as well and am still waiting. Please take care of your health, everyone."
Jungkook enlisted in the military in December 2023 and is currently serving in the Army, with his discharge scheduled for June 2025.
