Jung Yu-min Surprises Everyone with Pregnancy Announcement at SBS Acting Awards

During the 2024 SBS Acting Awards held on December 21 at the SBS Prism Tower in Mapo, Seoul, actress Jung Yu-min made a stunning revelation while accepting her award for Best Supporting Actress in a Mini-Series/Action category. Alongside fellow winner Yoon Sa-bong from 'Connection', Jung expressed her gratitude, stating, 'I had no hints at all. I truly didn’t know. Thank you so much.'

Reflecting on her experience working on 'Connection', she shared, 'When I joined the drama, I thought I just needed to do well, and that turned out to be true. The professionals on set were so amazing that I felt I had to perform well. The energy from everyone came together, and it seems the viewers appreciated it. I want to thank Director Kim Moon-kyo, Director Kwon Da-som, Writer Lee Hyun, and my family. I dedicate this honor to all the viewers who immersed themselves in this thrilling drama.'

Jung Yu-min then surprised the audience by announcing, 'This year has been special for me. After finishing the filming of 'Connection', I got married, and I’m here with my baby in my belly. Thank you.' She expressed her appreciation to the directors and writers, saying, 'This is my first time at an SBS awards ceremony, and I’m grateful for the invitation. We started filming 'Connection' last year in the cold. My respected seniors, directors, and staff worked hard to create great scenes, which warmed my heart on those chilly days. I want to thank everyone who contributed to making 'Connection'.'

She concluded by sharing the baby’s nickname, 'Blessing', explaining, 'I hope everyone surrounding Blessing is filled with happiness and love, and I wish for my child to grow up in that environment. I also hope all viewers are blessed, and I will take care of myself to become a more mature and dedicated actress.'
