Jung Woo-sung to Attend Blue Dragon Film Awards Amid Controversy Over Child

Actor Jung Woo-sung (정우성) is set to attend the upcoming Blue Dragon Film Awards (청룡영화상) despite recent controversies surrounding his status as a father of an out-of-wedlock child. On November 25, Jung's agency, Artist Company (아티스트 컴퍼니), confirmed his attendance at the prestigious event.

The day before, reports surfaced claiming that the father of model Moon Ga-bi's (문가비) son is Jung Woo-sung. According to these reports, the two first met at a gathering in 2022 and developed a close relationship, leading to Moon Ga-bi's pregnancy in June of the following year.

Jung reportedly expressed joy over the news and promised to take responsibility for raising the child, even choosing a name for the baby. Moon Ga-bi gave birth to a healthy son in March.

However, other media outlets have reported that Jung and Moon Ga-bi have faced conflicts regarding parenting and marriage. While Moon Ga-bi wishes to provide a stable family environment for their child through marriage, Jung has indicated that he will support the child financially but does not intend to marry.

In response to these developments, Artist Company confirmed that the child is indeed Jung Woo-sung's biological son and stated that they are discussing the best approach to parenting. However, they refrained from commenting further on the marital issues between Jung and Moon Ga-bi.

The 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards will take place on November 29 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, where Jung Woo-sung is nominated for Best Actor for his role in the film 'Seoul's Spring' (서울의 봄). Given that this will be Jung's first public appearance since the news of his fatherhood broke, there is significant interest in whether he will address the situation during the awards ceremony.

Meanwhile, Moon Ga-bi recently revealed on her social media that she secretly gave birth after a four-year hiatus from public life. Born in 1989, she gained attention for her exotic looks and muscular physique, participating in various beauty programs. However, she has been inactive in the entertainment industry since 2020 and stopped posting on social media in 2022. In her recent post, she expressed her desire to embrace a more ordinary happiness as a mother, sharing her feelings about the unexpected nature of her pregnancy and her hopes for her child's future.
