Jung Soo-yeon Opens Up About Life After Two Divorces and Raising Two Children

On February 13, Jung Soo-yeon appeared on MBN's 특종세상 (Exclusive World) to share her life story, revealing her experiences as a single mother raising two children of different genders after two divorces. Before her audition, she faced significant financial struggles, and the opportunity to participate in the competition felt like a ray of hope for her as a struggling single mom. Despite winning the competition, she explained her absence from the stage, stating, 'I thought I could provide a better life for my children while singing.'

Jung also expressed her disappointment, saying, 'My first concert in Seoul coincided with the outbreak of COVID-19. There was nothing I could do, and I felt buried since that time.' After the competition, she remarried quickly but ended up going through a second divorce due to similar hardships. Reflecting on her five-year hiatus, she shared, 'I only wanted to live in hiding. I felt like I was living like a dead person.'
