Jung Seung-jae Reflects on His Performance Journey on Immortal Songs

Jung Seung-jae, known for his role as a top math instructor, is capturing attention with his self-reflection following his stage challenge on KBS2's Immortal Songs (불후의 명곡). Addressing a vast audience of students, Jung admits, "This is so different from lecturing, and I’m really nervous." He reflects on his past, saying, "I realized I’ve been living incorrectly. I used to tell my students that their lack of practice is why they fail in exams, and now I find myself in the same situation," bowing his head and eliciting laughter from the audience.

Determined to live more humbly, Jung states, "I practiced a lot for this stage. I cleared my schedule for three days just to focus on the performance, yet I still felt nervous. I truly respect singers." In response, Shin Dong-yup praises him, noting, "Your singing is very clean, and your tone is charming. While I don’t think you’ll have a massive hit, you definitely sound like a singer," which brought more laughter from the crowd.
