Jung Kyung-ho Fully Immersed in His Role in 'Labor Attorney Noh Moo-jin'

Jung Kyung-ho is diving deep into his character in the upcoming MBC drama 'Labor Attorney Noh Moo-jin' (노무사 노무진), set to premiere on May 30. This new Friday-Saturday series, written by Kim Bo-tong and Yoo Seung-hee, and directed by Im Soon-rye and Lee Han-jun, is a comedic fantasy that follows a labor attorney who can see ghosts as he tackles various labor issues. The unique premise of a labor attorney, a less common profession compared to lawyers or doctors, combined with the twist of ghosts seeking help for their labor-related problems, is generating excitement among potential viewers. Jung Kyung-ho stars in the titular role, leading the narrative.
The series promises a solid storyline, blending humor and meaningful messages, thanks to the collaboration of Kim Bo-tong, known for his sharp portrayal of military life in the OTT drama 'D.P.', and Yoo Seung-hee, who delivered heartfelt storytelling in the film 'I Can Speak'. Each episode will showcase different labor environments and the amusing ways in which Noh Moo-jin resolves these issues.
Jung Kyung-ho expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "The script was entertaining. The character of a labor attorney, who is grounded in reality, brings both emotional depth and humor. I believe this work has a healthy energy that can relieve viewers' fatigue."
Having previously portrayed various professional roles such as a prison guard, doctor, and instructor, Jung Kyung-ho has earned the title of 'professional role actor'. In this series, he transforms into a hero labor attorney dedicated to helping workers, raising expectations for his performance.
When asked what attracted him to the character of Noh Moo-jin, he shared, "I was drawn to the character's journey of growth, both as a person and as a labor attorney, while helping ghosts who suffered unjust deaths due to industrial accidents. I wanted to understand the profession better by meeting real labor attorneys and discussing their experiences. Since Moo-jin is not a character driven by profit, I aimed to portray him in a more unkempt and natural manner."
The character's ability to see ghosts and listen to their unfinished stories adds a unique layer to the narrative. Jung Kyung-ho noted, "This is my first time collaborating with ghosts. I focused on researching gestures to effectively convey the personalities of the ghost characters, aiming to present something new each time."
'Labor Attorney Noh Moo-jin' is set to premiere on May 30 at 9:50 PM, signaling the arrival of what could be Jung Kyung-ho's next significant work.
