Jung Ji-young Bids Emotional Farewell as Radio Host

On December 20, 2024, broadcaster Jung Ji-young emotionally stepped down from her role as the host of MBC FM4U's 'Today Morning with Jung Ji-young' after 12 years of bringing joy to listeners. The farewell broadcast was filled with tears as she read heartfelt messages from her audience and introduced songs, expressing her gratitude and sadness. For her final song, she chose Lee Moon-sae's 'Memories Are More Than Love,' stating, 'Thanks to all of you, I was a DJ filled with happiness.' A goodbye video was shared on social media, highlighting the emotional moments leading up to her departure. Fans expressed their sorrow and support, with comments like, 'I’ll wait for your return, Ji-young,' and 'Thank you for the happiness you brought us.' Jung Ji-young began her career as an SBS announcer in 1998 and gained popularity as a late-night DJ with 'Jung Ji-young's Sweet Music Box.' She joined MBC Radio in October 2012 and made history in 2022 by becoming the first female solo host to win the Bronze Microphone award. Starting December 23, singer and producer Yoon Sang will take over her position.
