Jung Hyung Don Reunites with G-Dragon for New Show 'Good Day'
Jung Hyung Don, a beloved television personality known for his time on Infinite Challenge (무한도전), has chosen to collaborate with producer Kim Tae Ho on a new program titled Good Day (굿데이) alongside G-Dragon from BIGBANG. The production conference for MBC's latest variety show was held online on February 13, 2025, where Jung Hyung Don shared the stage with G-Dragon, Defconn, and Kim Tae Ho, discussing their recent activities.
Good Day is an innovative music project where G-Dragon, a cultural icon, will serve as the producer, creating songs that capture the essence of the year with various notable figures from different fields. This marks G-Dragon's first regular variety show appearance, featuring a star-studded lineup that includes actors Kim Go Eun, Kim Soo Hyun, Lee Soo Hyuk, Im Si Wan, Jung Hae In, and Hwang Jung Min, generating significant anticipation.
Jung Hyung Don and Defconn proudly secured their spots as the first guests and members of Good Day. Jung Hyung Don is particularly significant to G-Dragon, as he was part of the memorable Infinite Challenge special that brought joy to G-Dragon, showcasing their chemistry that fans still cherish a decade later.
Reflecting on their reunion, Jung Hyung Don expressed his excitement and nervousness, acknowledging the many fans who remember their past interactions. He shared, "It's a joy to meet G-Dragon again, but I worry about how our reunion will resonate with those who recall our previous moments together. It's a mix of nerves and excitement."
G-Dragon responded, saying, "Although a long time has passed, it doesn't feel like it at all. I genuinely enjoy being with these guys, and I expect to bring laughter. I didn't realize I could laugh so much recently. It just flowed naturally."
Good Day also marks Jung Hyung Don's first collaboration with Kim Tae Ho since leaving Infinite Challenge. When asked about his feelings regarding this reunion, he momentarily choked up, prompting playful teasing from his fellow cast members. He humorously remarked, "I was just waiting for the right moment to cry."
Despite his emotions, Jung Hyung Don candidly shared his concerns about meeting the high expectations from fans, especially since G-Dragon is involved. He stated, "I have worries and anxieties about not being able to meet the expectations of those who are excited about this program."
Nevertheless, he remains confident in the project, asserting, "I believe that once we finish recording and the show airs, it will be a precious piece of content. This project holds significant meaning."
