Joo Jin-mo Returns to the Spotlight After Six Years

Actor Joo Jin-mo (주진모), aged 50, is set to make his comeback after a six-year hiatus following a personal scandal. He will hold a fan meeting on February 9 at the DDD Aoyama Cross Theater in Tokyo, Japan. On January 17, he shared his thoughts during a video on the YouTube channel 'Doctor Hye-yeon,' which is run by his wife, family medicine specialist Min Hye-yeon (민혜연), aged 39. The video, titled 'Joo Jin-mo Shares His First Thoughts with His Wife,' features the couple traveling in Fukuoka, Japan.

Joo expressed his excitement about returning to Japan, stating, "I have many fond memories of Japan, so I’m thrilled to go back and meet my fans there." He mentioned that he is currently on a diet and aims to showcase a more youthful version of himself at the fan meeting, saying, "I want to show the way I looked when I last met my fans in Japan. They probably haven't seen me like this, and I'm working hard to return to my old self."

He emphasized his desire to sincerely express his feelings to his fans, while Min Hye-yeon expressed gratitude for their support, noting, "Thank you for always being there and not forgetting us. Many Japanese fans leave comments on my account."

On the same day, Min Hye-yeon promoted Joo Jin-mo's fan meeting on Instagram, sharing a recent profile photo and mentioning that she is helping to prepare for the event since her husband and his agency do not have their own social media accounts.

The couple married in 2019 and do not have children. Joo Jin-mo faced a significant personal crisis the following year when he was a victim of a phone hacking incident, which led to public exposure of his private messages and subsequent blackmail by the hackers.
