Joo Ji-hoon Wins Best Actor at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards

At the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards held on July 18, 2025, actor Joo Ji-hoon (주지훈) took home the prestigious Best Actor award, triumphing over notable nominees including Park Bo-gum (박보검) and Lee Byung-hun (이병헌). The ceremony, broadcast on KBS2TV, celebrated a variety of categories and showcased the best in Korean series.
The New Actor award went to Choo Young-woo (추영우) for his impressive performance in 'Trauma Center' (중증외상센터). Expressing his gratitude, he said, "I am thankful just to be here. I appreciate my fans for allowing me to live as Yang Jae-won and for supporting my journey from being Choo Young-woo to becoming an actor."
Kim Min-ha (김민하) won the New Actress award for her role in 'One Week Before I Die' (내가 죽기 일주일 전). She shared an emotional message, saying, "I feel very blessed. I miss my sister Yoo-jung in heaven. From now on, I will tell my own story at my own pace."
The Best Actress award was awarded to IU (아이유) for her dual role in 'The Great Deception' (폭싹 속았수다). She expressed her joy, stating, "Every moment from the time I received the offer to the airing of the show will remain a proud part of my life. I am so happy to be part of the 'The Great Deception' team."
Joo Ji-hoon, recognized for his role in 'Trauma Center', expressed his disbelief at winning, saying, "I can't think of anything to say. I am deeply grateful to the production team and my fellow actors for bringing this realistic story to life."
The awards ceremony highlighted the competitive nature of various OTT content, drawing significant attention from viewers with its rich array of winners and heartfelt acceptance speeches.
