Jo Yu-ri Shows Loyalty to Her Agency in Recent Broadcast

On July 12, during an episode of MBC's 'My Little Old Boy' (전지적 참견 시점), singer and actress Jo Yu-ri announced her contract renewal with her agency. Her agency director shared, "Since the end of IZ*ONE, we've been together. At first, she felt like a younger sister from my hometown, but now she seems more like a daughter due to her petite stature. I think she feels lonely since her friends are in Busan, so I try to joke around with her like a neighborhood uncle." He also noted the geographical connection, saying, "Haeun is from Changwon, I’m from Yeongdeok, and Yu-ri is from Busan, so we feel closer because of our similar hometowns."

Jo Yu-ri playfully responded, "You shouldn’t joke with me too much; I just renewed my contract with the agency not long ago." The director humorously replied, "Didn’t you sign the contract?"

He reminisced about the moment she called to discuss the renewal, saying, "It was impressive when she asked if I would still be around, and she wanted to sign the contract with me present. It was the first time I felt this kind of emotion while working."

The director expressed pride in his role, stating, "After about 20 years as a manager, this was one of my proudest moments." Jo Yu-ri added, "I did receive other offers, but I renewed my contract because of him. He’s like a father figure to me, sometimes a friend, and a life mentor. I’ve learned a lot from him, and it was the first time I thought about wanting to do well in the entertainment industry."
