Jo Woo-jin and Lee Byung-hun Showcase Intense Chemistry at 'Victory' Press Conference

On March 7, a press conference for the film 'Victory' was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul, featuring cast members Lee Byung-hun, Jo Woo-jin, Go Chang-seok, Hyun Bong-sik, Moon Jung-hee, and director Kim Hyung-joo.

'Victory' (directed by Kim Hyung-joo, distributed by By4M Studio, produced by Film Company Wolgwang, co-produced by BH Entertainment) tells the story of South Korea's legendary Go player, Cho Hun-hyeon (played by Lee Byung-hun), who, after losing to his disciple Lee Chang-ho (played by Yoo Ah-in), challenges himself to rise to the top once again, driven by his innate competitive spirit.

Jo Woo-jin, who plays Cho Hun-hyeon's rival, Nam Ki-cheol, expressed his excitement about reuniting with Lee Byung-hun after their previous collaborations in 'Inside Men' and 'The Fortress.' He shared, "It's always a thrill to work with him. Just looking into his eyes creates an immersive experience, and he guides me as a fellow actor. I remember being amazed by how he conveys all emotions through minimal acting, more than any scene I've encountered recently."

In response, Lee Byung-hun humorously noted, "In my role, I have to view Jo Woo-jin's character as someone I can easily dismiss. So, I should approach him lightly, but strangely, when I'm in front of Jo Woo-jin, I find myself fidgeting with my wrists and ankles, feeling smaller. Perhaps it’s because our first meeting in 'Inside Men' was so intense; it’s not as comfortable as it seems."
